Clutch Bearings
The clutch bearing (also known as Clutch release bearing or throw-out bearing) is a critical component in manual transmission systems. Positioned between the clutch pressure plate and the release fork, it enables the connection or disconnection between the engine and the drivetrain through axial movement.
Core Functions:
When the clutch pedal is depressed, it pushes the pressure plate away from the clutch disc, interrupting power transmission and enabling gear shifting.
Upon releasing the pedal, the bearing retracts, allowing the pressure plate to reset and restore power transfer.
Reduces the force required for clutch operation, ensuring smooth gear changes.
Protects the drivetrain by preventing gear impact damage.
