The design itself has been produced without significant changes for more than forty years. The Niva 2121 car from VAZ is the grandfather of modern SUVs. This is a passenger car of the Volzhsky Automobile Plant. Produced in the USSR since 1977 and became the world’s first all-wheel drive small class crossover.
